Weeze Airport is getting a new head of marketing and communications, Thomas Kurzweg. He succeeds Holger Terhorst, who, after 20 years in this position, is leaving when he reaches the standard retirement age and would like to devote himself to new professional challenges in the tourism industry.
“Holger Terhorst took on the role of marketing manager at the airport back in 2003 and has accompanied the development of civil air traffic at Weeze Airport since the first flight.” He has personally significantly shaped and influenced the image and reputation of the airport. The successful development of traffic figures is largely due to him. “We would like to thank Holger Terhorst for his very successful work, his high level of commitment and the extremely trusting cooperation,” says Sebastian Papst, CEO of Weeze Airport.
In his career to date, Thomas Kurzweg has worked for Eurowings Flug GmbH, from which Germanwings GmbH emerged, Aviation Quality Services GmbH, Frankfurt-Hahn and Leipzig/Halle airports and SkyWork Airlines. Most recently, he served as Chief Commercial Officer under the management of Tomislav Lang.
“With Tom Kurzweg, we were able to gain an aviation manager who has many years of experience in many areas of aviation and is well connected and creative in the industry.” “Together we will take advantage of our growth opportunities and continue to successfully shape the future of the airport,” said Sebastian Pope
